Sidley successfully led the Chapter 11 cases for Casa Systems, Inc., a telecommunications hardware and software company with approximately US$183 million in funded debt and operations across more than 10 countries, which culminated with the fully consensual, uncontested confirmation of its Chapter 11 plan in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Casa Systems’ Chapter 11 cases were completed in 65 days and resulted in going-concern sales of the company’s 5G mobile core/RAN and cable businesses across multiple jurisdictions, a global settlement providing for recoveries to the company’s unsecured creditors, and the preservation of hundreds of jobs. A global cross-section of the Sidley team will continue to work with Casa Systems in connection with the orderly winddown of multiple international subsidiaries. The matter involves lawyers and staff from the New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Century City, Houston, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Palo Alto, Miami, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and Munich offices.
