NICOLE KWAN represents a variety of employers in employment litigation. Nicole handles wage and hour class and California Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) actions. Nicole also defends employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, failure to accommodate, harassment, restrictive covenant, and breach of contract claims. Nicole also advises clients in mergers and acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side) on a wide range of employment-related issues. Additionally, Nicole assists clients in conducting investigations involving allegations of whistleblower retaliation, hostile work environment, and discrimination. Nicole also advises employers on numerous employment issues, including handbook compliance and terminations.
Nicole participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working on impact litigation for Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
Nicole served as a submissions editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal and as an articles editor of the Asian American Law Journal, in addition to co-chairing the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. During her law school summer, she interned at the Enforcement Unit of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) where she investigated allegations made under federal employment statutes, including Title VII, ADA, and ADEA.
