CLINTON UHLIR is a partner in the global Insurance and Financial Services group, where he heads the Structured Investment Products and Structured Investment Entities practice.
Clint focuses his practice on the representation of issuers, underwriters and purchasers of financial products and the development, structuring, negotiation and documentation of different types of financial transactions and structured institutional investment products. He regularly represents both “buy-side” and “sell-side” firms, including large global financial institutions, as well as asset managers/investment advisers. In particular, Clint has extensive experience in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of repurchase transactions and agreements and repurchase facilities relating to various types of financial assets, including both debt and equity securities, structured securities, whole residential and commercial mortgage loans and bank debt/corporate loans. He also has significant experience working on securities lending transactions, agreements and programs (including both through custodial banks and through different third-party securities lending agents and platforms).
In addition, Clint provides counsel to a broad range of institutions, including insurance companies, investment advisers, broker-dealers, investment companies, hedge funds, banks and other companies, on transactions involving different types of institutional financial products. Such products and transactions include stable value investment products, transactions and programs (including BOLI/COLI, stable value funds, insurance company synthetic GICs and other types of wrap agreements and hedging products), derivative financial products, swap agreements, forward transactions and agreements, money market fund eligible securities and other hybrid products.
