ELI SHINDELMAN is a partner in the Global Finance group in the Sidley’s New York office. His practice focuses on structured finance and securitization, with a particular focus on real estate capital markets transactions. Eli regularly represents issuers (including first time issuers), underwriters, loan sellers, servicers and investors in public and private commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) transactions. Eli has advised lenders in connection with A/A (pari passu), A/B (senior/subordinate) and mezzanine loan structures through intercreditor agreements and participation agreements, as well as in connection with the purchase and sale of commercial mortgage loans. Eli also represents issuers, sponsors and underwriters in connection with single family rental (SFR) securitization transactions.
Eli received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College, where he served as an articles editor on the Boston College Law Review.
