JOHN MISCEVICH’s practice focuses on litigating patent infringement disputes concerning a wide range of technologies, across various jurisdictions and venues. John’s work includes matters before the International Trade Commission (ITC), various federal district courts, and the submission of amicus briefings before the Supreme Court. John is experienced in all phases of diligence and litigation, including case assessment, e-discovery, fact and expert discovery, and trial work.
Prior to joining Sidley, John served as a full-time judicial extern on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit for Judge Kathleen O’Malley.
John obtained his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, graduating with distinction. While in law school, John spent two years as a member of the Iowa Law Review, serving as contributing editor for one year.
John graduated summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University, earning his B.S. in electrical and computer engineering and earning additional accreditations in both computer science and mathematics.
