• KKR in connection with its €241 million debt investment and acquisition of a 24 percent stake in the Spanish pizza chain, TelePizza.
• Centerbridge on the restructuring of the Apcoa group implemented, in part, through two separate scheme of arrangement procedures.
• KKR and Bayside on the financial restructuring of Dutch childcare service provider, Estro. Mark subsequently acted for Bayside and H.I.G. Capital on their acquisition of the Estro business by way of a Dutch ‘pre-pack’ bankruptcy process.
• A.T.U. in relation to the restructuring and reduction of its debt facilities by over €600 million.
• The Monier group, a leading international manufacturer and supplier of building materials, in relation to the extension and amendment of its €700 million debt facilities, implemented through inter-conditional schemes of arrangement of 13 borrowers, spanning six jurisdictions.
• Sankaty on the purchase of a portfolio of 26 distressed loans owned by members of the Lloyds Banking Group, with an outstanding value of more than £500 million, and the subsequent work-out phase of the portfolio.
• Strategic Value Partners on the €1.2 billion junior-led debt-for-equity restructuring of the Klöckner Pentaplast Group.
• First Lien Co-ordinating Committee of lenders to eircom in relation to the restructuring of its €4.1 billion debt facilities, principally through the Irish Examinership regime.
• Rodenstock GmbH, European manufacturer and supplier of spectacles and lenses in relation to the financial restructuring of its approximately €300 million debt facilities by way of a scheme of arrangement.
• The Mezzanine Steering Committee of TeleColumbus GmbH in relation to its financial restructuring through a scheme of arrangement.
• Codemasters, a leading computer games manufacturer, in relation to its financial and corporate restructuring, involving a debt-for-equity swap and a significant co-investment by Indian conglomerate, Reliance Industries.
• The Nybron group in relation to its multi-jurisdictional debt-for-equity restructuring.
• Japanese Airlines Corporation in connection with various aspects of its UK recognition proceedings under the Cross Border Insolvency Regulations 2006.
