KUNAL JHAVERI focuses his practice on consumer protection litigation and enforcement matters in the areas of privacy and cybersecurity, telecommunications, and antitrust.
Kunal has significant experience in drafting dispositive motions in federal courts and consumer arbitration forums, filing briefs before federal and state regulatory agencies, and conducting in-depth research. His experience extends to managing complex data analytics and document discovery workstreams, coordinating with expert consultants, and preparing deposition witnesses. Kunal also maintains an active pro bono practice and has advised clients in nonprofit corporate governance, data protection practices, and housing rights.
Kunal received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and served as an articles editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law. While at law school, he also served as an advanced student attorney for the Zell Entrepreneurship Clinic and as the co-president of the Society for Space Law and the Law of the Sea. Kunal received his undergraduate degree in economics and political science, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to joining Sidley, he was a judicial intern to The Honorable Timothy M. Reif of the U.S. Court of International Trade.
