PAIGE GARCIA counsels a range of public and private clients on the design and administration of a wide variety of employee benefit plans, including health and welfare plans, cafeteria plans under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, fringe benefit plans, and qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.
Paige’s focus on health and welfare plans spans matters relating to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and other welfare benefit plans, as well as funding vehicles for welfare benefits such as voluntary employees’ beneficiary associations (VEBAs) and 401(h) accounts. Her qualified retirement plan practice includes advising clients on matters related to ongoing administration and legal compliance for individually designed 401(k) and defined benefit plans, including in regard to correcting operational errors through the Internal Revenue Service Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS). Additionally, Paige advises clients regarding ERISA fiduciary matters.
