Daily Business Review honored Beatriz (Bibi) Azcuy as one of its “Distinguished Leaders” and named Kate Lashley an “On the Rise” honoree as a part of the 2024 Florida Legal Awards. The annual awards ceremony recognizes distinguished members of the Florida legal community.
Bibi has spent nearly 30 years in Miami advising and representing financial institutions, investment banks, and other institutional clients on commercial real estate transactions related to multifamily, mixed-use condominium, retail, industrial, and hospitality properties across the U.S. In her time with Sidley, Bibi has served as co-managing partner of the Miami office and head of the Miami Real Estate group. She also chairs the Miami office’s DEI Committee and is a member of Unidos, a Hispanic/Latin American affinity group at Sidley.
Kate is a partner in Sidley’s Securities Enforcement and Regulatory practice, and a member of the firm’s OTC Derivatives and Blockchain industry groups. Kate advises a wide range of clients in all aspects of their derivatives trading, documentation, and regulation. She has extensive experience advising both regulated entities and end-users on regulatory and compliance issues relating to the Commodity Exchange Act and the Dodd-Frank Act. Kate also advises clients on a range of matters related to blockchain and digital assets, including regulation and compliance, trading and investment in digital assets, and tokenization. Kate is the Miami office chair of SidleyWomen, Sidley’s global women’s initiative.
