Biography

RUDY RAMIREZ focuses his practice on the representation of private equity clients and public and private companies in complex corporate and transactional matters, such as mergers, acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.

During law school, Rudy received a J.D. Specialization in Business Law, served as the senior publishing editor of the UCLA Law Review, Vol. 70, and was also a former staff member for Vol. 69. He also served on the Board for the Moot Court Honors Program as the problem developer.

Earlier in his career, Rudy worked in commercial real estate, where his responsibilities included asset valuation and the representation of real estate developers and asset managers in appealing their properties’ tax basis. In addition, he worked as a financing originator for a private REIT.

Rudy has assisted with the representation of:

  • SupplyHouse, a proprietary e-commerce platform serving professionals in the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades, in connection with a minority investment from KKR & Co., a global private equity firm.
  • ZMC in its acquisition of a controlling stake of semiconductor silicon solutions and services company Pure Wafer.
  • The Nemetschek Group in its acquisition of Firmus AI through its subsidiary Bluebeam, Inc.
  • Campus Advantage, a student housing property management business and real estate investment management firm, in its sale to Yugo.
  • Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman (GRF), a full-service business management firm that represents individuals and businesses in the entertainment space, in becoming the business management hub of Focus Financial Partners.
