Corporate Social Responsibility
Our New York office has long been dedicated to fostering positive social change. We make a difference by harnessing our resources to empower and support the underserved in our community. We work with many local charitable organizations on initiatives that help our neighborhoods flourish, including:
"...the people at Sidley play an important role in helping New York Cares make a difference in the lives of New Yorkers."
Gary Bagley, Executive Director, New York Cares
Throughout the year, our professionals work together on numerous volunteer initiatives, including our annual Sidley Service Day, where we devote a full day to giving back to our community. As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance reading programs in New York City, we refurbished the library at Public School 21 Crispus Attucks Elementary in Brooklyn for our 2016 Sidley Service Day, in addition to assisting with several other revitalization projects at the school.
We are proud of our strong volunteer programs. This includes our Veterans Day and Summer Reading events in conjunction with New York Cares, as well as ongoing volunteering with nonprofit organizations such as New York Common Pantry, Read Ahead and ENCORE Community Services.
Corporate Social Responsibility at Sidley
Our Corporate Social Responsibility Program encompasses creative ways that our professionals can make valuable contributions around the world. Through our three core principles—give, serve and grow—we provide our lawyers and staff with many opportunities to work together on service projects that enrich the lives of others and advance our communities.
