Eric Zhao

ERIC ZHAO focuses his practice on financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other corporate and securities law matters.

Eric earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. During law school, he served as a research assistant for a professor focusing on various securities regulations topics. Prior to joining Sidley, he worked as a summer associate and interned with a boutique emerging companies and venture capital law firm. Before law school, he worked as a legal assistant for an international law firm in China on international M&A transactions and trade regulation matters.

Eric received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego in political science, with a minor in Japanese Studies.
