ELLEN WIENCEK focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes.
Before joining Sidley, Ellen served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael Y. Scudder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and as a Public Interest Law Initiative fellow at Legal Aid Chicago. Ellen graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was an articles editor for The University of Chicago Law Review and received the Joseph Henry Beale Prize for legal research and writing. She earned her B.A. in Economics and Mathematics, summa cum laude, from Washington and Lee University.
Prior to attending law school, Ellen was a financial analyst at the Federal Reserve Board, where she researched topics related to global and domestic financial stability.
