NAPHTALIE UKIRI is an associate in the Investment Funds group in the firm’s Dallas office.
Naphtalie focuses her practice on private equity and hedge fund formation, private equity investments, hedge fund investments, and corporate compliance and governance.
Naphtalie earned her J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, she was honored as both a PracticePro 1L Diversity Scholar and a recipient of the Ann Watson Barber Outstanding Service Award. Naphtalie’s activities include membership on the Dean’s Council, a member and mentor with the Black Law Student Association, as well as upholding her Pro Bono Service Initiative pledge to complete over 50 hours of law-related volunteer work. She was a 2020–2021 clinic student at the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship, which involved conducting research and providing counsel on legal issues for low-income entrepreneurs on Chicago’s South Side.
Naphtalie served with Teach for America as a middle school science teacher prior to law school; and also worked as a real estate agent in the Dallas area. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
