WILLIAM THOMPSON represents individuals and corporations in all stages of litigation, with a focus on appeals and critical motions.
Will rejoined Sidley after serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Patrick J. Bumatay of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Pro Bono Fellow at The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, where he represented religious nonprofits in First Amendment cases before the federal courts of appeals.
Will graduated, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. During law school, he also served as a judicial intern at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Before law school, Will worked as a national security consultant at a boutique consulting firm in Washington, D.C.
