ASHLEIGH STANLEY is a strategic problem-solver with a focus on advising companies on financing-related issues in the entertainment, sports, media, and music industries. She has extensive experience advising studios, production companies, distributors, and other media entities through all aspects of the film and television life cycle, including financing, production, distribution, licensing, and acquisition. In the music industry, Ashleigh has represented both owners and acquirers of music catalogs through a variety of complex deal work, particularly in the securitization context. She often speaks on panels and publishes on novel issues in the entertainment industry. Ashleigh was recognized by Variety as one of “Hollywood’s New Leaders of 2023.”
As an avid consumer in the creative market, Ashleigh prides herself on being especially knowledgeable about entertainment assets and all of their accompanying quirks. She is a skilled communicator, effectively translating complicated legal concepts and advising her clients on how to apply them. Ashleigh’s goal is for her clients to view her as an effective, solutions-oriented, and essential member of their team.
During Ashleigh’s time at Harvard Law School, she spent significant time providing services to music artists through HLS Recording Artists Project (“RAP”). She also served on the Committee on Sports and Entertainment Law and the Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. Prior to law school, Ashleigh earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Alabama.
