SHAMBHAVI PANDEY advises sovereign States, international organizations, and companies before a wide range of forums of international dispute settlement, including investment and commercial arbitral tribunals, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), and the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Her experience also includes advising commercial stakeholders on issues relating to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) arising under EU laws.
Before joining Sidley, Shambhavi represented clients in international and domestic arbitrations, court litigations, and white collar investigations at one of India’s leading law firms in Mumbai. She also worked with the Permanent Mission of India to the WTO and the Centre for Trade and Investment Law. There, Shambhavi provided research assistance during negotiations on regional trade agreements and advised on issues under WTO agreements.
Shambhavi received her L.L.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from the Geneva Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva. She has participated and received distinctions in the Vis East Young International Mediation Competition, Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, and the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition on WTO law.
