JERI LEIGH MILLER’s primary focus is on advising both debtor and creditor clients through complex chapter 11 restructurings, out-of-court reorganizations, and contested business litigations related thereto. Prior to joining Sidley, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable H. Christopher Mott of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas.
Jeri Leigh earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating as valedictorian of her class. While attending law school, Jeri Leigh was on the executive board of Texas Tech Law Review, the co-head editor for the Texas Bank Lawyer, and a member of Board of Barristers, the school’s advocacy group. In 2024, Texas Super Lawyers recognized Jeri Leigh as a “Rising Star” in Bankruptcy: Business. While in law school, Jeri Leigh was also honored as the 2016 Distinguished Bankruptcy Law Student for the Fifth Circuit. Before attending law school, she received her B.A. in history and anthropology from Tulane University.
