BILL LAWRENCE advises clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation risk assessment and mitigation, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trials. Bill works on a broad range of matters, covering complex commercial litigation, dispute resolution, products liability and mass torts, and wrongful convictions.
Bill graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. In law school, he served as an executive editor on the Northwestern University Law Review. Bill received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, where he was a member of the Lions football team. Before joining Sidley, Bill served as a Public Interest Law Initiative Fellow at Legal Aid Chicago and clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
