SAMA KAHOOK focuses her practice on healthcare, regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters for life sciences, healthcare providers, and digital health companies. This includes advising clients on fraud and abuse issues involving the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, Medicare and Medicaid coverage and reimbursement, the 340B program, government price reporting laws, market access, patient privacy, and the development of healthcare compliance programs.
Sama received her J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law, her L.L.M. from Loyola University School of Law, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University.
Before joining the firm, Sama was an associate attorney at another AM Law 100 law firm where she focused on healthcare regulatory work and digital health and served as the 2020–2021 Health Law Fellow at the Office of the General Counsel of the American Medical Association in Chicago, IL.
During her time at Emory Law, Sama served as an extern to Judge Amy Totenberg of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and Judge M. Yvette Miller of the Georgia Court of Appeals.
