NICOLE HEISE represents clients facing significant crisis situations, government and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation. Nicole contributes a breadth of litigation experience, including conducting multiple internal investigations, advising boards and special committees, bringing a case to a successful bench trial verdict, arguing dispositive and discovery motions, taking and defending fact and expert depositions, and drafting major briefs in complex cases.
Prior to joining Sidley, Nicole served as a law clerk to The Honorable Amy J. St. Eve of the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and to The Honorable Virginia M. Kendall of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Nicole earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School in 2018, where she served as an articles editor of The University of Chicago Law Review. Nicole graduated cum laude from Amherst College in 2013 with a B.A. in History where she earned NCAA Academic All-America and NCAA All-America (Honorable Mention) honors on the Women’s Varsity Swim Team.
