ZACK HAMPEL represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as public and private companies, in a variety of complex transactions and corporate governance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and debt financing.
Prior to joining Sidley, Zack participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program, working at Public Counsel to advance the rights of students and foster youth in California. While in law school, Zack served as production editor of the UCLA Law Review, articles editor of the Dukeminier Awards Journal, and co-chair of UCLA’s chapter of OUTLaw. He also volunteered in the Let’s Go! Liberation Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic and was a summer law fellow at UCLA’s Williams Institute.
