ERIC GROSSHANDLER, a senior managing associate in the Tax group in the firm’s New York office, focuses on advising clients on tax structuring and other U.S. tax considerations in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Eric’s practice includes both public and private mergers and acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, stock and asset sales, internal corporate restructurings, and international tax planning. Eric spends a significant amount of his time advising private equity funds. Eric’s other main practice area involves representing U.S. and non-U.S. clients in capital market transactions, including major IPOs, and other debt and equity securities offerings.
Prior to joining Sidley, Eric practiced at another major law firm where he advised clients on tax structuring, including public and private multijurisdictional acquisition and restructuring transactions, as well as capital markets transactions.
