ELLIE COHEN advises alternative investment managers on a variety of transactions and investment structures, including hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds, commodity pools, funds-of-funds, special purpose vehicles, and other privately-offered vehicles. Ellie also advises clients with respect to management company agreements, organizational structure, internal operations, and other related matters. Ellie’s clients pursue a range of investment strategies.
Prior to joining Sidley, Ellie was a Public Interest Law Initiative Graduate Fellow at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law — Bluhm Legal Clinic Complex Civil Litigation and Investor Protection Center.
Ellie graduated cum laude from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where she was the managing production editor of the Northwestern Journal of Law and Social Policy. Ellie earned her B.A., cum laude, in journalism from The George Washington University.
