Sidley represented Stanley Capital Partners (“SCP”), the specialist healthcare and resource efficiency private equity investor, on its strategic majority investment in SePRO Corporation (“SePRO”), a leading specialty environmental restoration company.
The investment was made together with Goldman Sachs Alternatives as a minority co-investor, and will further accelerate SePRO’s ability to provide the best-in-class solutions, emerging technologies and technical support to customers in water management and other sectors through organic growth strategies and acquisitions. SCP’s 130-person digital development and transformation team will partner with SePRO leadership to accelerate this digital transformation journey.
This investment marks the second SCP has made in the resource efficiency sector, following its strategic acquisition of Roboyo in October 2023, on which Sidley also advised.
The Sidley team was led by Private Equity partners Brittany J. Harrison and Paul Dunbar and includes Sam Hulsey and Kyle Patel (M&A and Private Equity); supported by Steven Rutkovsky, Shayona Schiely, Caroline Roberts and James Blanchard (Global Finance); Lauren A. Gallagher and Gregory Matisoff (Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation); Rachel Kleinberg and Andy Lau (Tax); Heather Palmer (Environmental); Kara McCall (Products Liability); Cathryn Le Regulski (Labor and Employment); Glenn Nash and Valerie Truong (Intellectual Property), Vadim Brusser and Edward Sharon (Antitrust).
