Washington, D.C. – Michael Varrone has joined Sidley’s Food, Drug and Medical Device practice as counsel in Washington, D.C. from his former position as Senior Advisor to the Chief Counsel of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Mike brings more than 20 years of expertise in FDA law to Sidley, drawing on his many years in FDA’s Office of Chief Counsel and leadership roles in government where he also served as Acting Deputy General Counsel in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Health Policy Advisor to the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). Mike has extensive knowledge of and insights into FDA regulatory and compliance issues involving human and animal drugs, biologics, medical devices, food (including dietary supplements and infant formula), cosmetics, and tobacco.
