Sidley represented Jeff Skoll in connection with his minority investment in Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which owns and/or operates multiple professional sports teams, venues and media enterprises, including the NBA’s Washington Wizards, NHL’s Washington Capitals, and the WNBA’s Washington Mystics. Jeff Skoll was the first full-time employee and first President of eBay, developed eBay’s inaugural business plan and led its successful initial public offering. A philanthropist and social entrepreneur, Jeff is the founder of the Jeff Skoll Group, where he has created an innovative portfolio of philanthropic and commercial enterprises, including the Skoll Foundation, Capricorn Investment Group, and Participant.
