Sidley advised GIC, OMERS Infrastructure, and Wren House to win the “Transport Deal of the Year,” which was announced last night at Infrastructure Investor’s 2023 Annual Awards. The Annual Awards aim to celebrate the sector’s managers, investors, and advisers that have excelled over the past year.
The winning deal and parties involved were honored for their work on the purchase of Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI) from funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management and EQT. DCLI is one of the largest chassis lessors in the United States, with over 151,000 marine and 100,000 domestic chassis in its fleet. DCLI operates out of strategic locations across key port and rail terminals in the United States.
The Sidley team was led by M&A partner Chris Barbuto, and Energy and Infrastructure partner Cliff Vrielink. The Corporate, and Energy and Infrastructure teams also included Sam Seley, Ashley Moulder, and Brad Giacone.
The financing for this transaction was led by Global Finance partners Angela Fontana and Herschel Hamner. The financing team also included Sean Damm.
