TOMIDE OWOLABI counsels clients across a wide range of industries on a variety of technology, intellectual property and life sciences matters, including mergers and acquisitions, software development and licensing, and other commercial transactions.
Tomide earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law, where he served as a notes editor for the Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and received the Arlyn Miner Book Award, an award given to the student with the best objective analysis in their first-year writing section.
During law school, Tomide served as a Federal Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, as a Legal Extern for the American Medical Association, and as a Legal Extern for eBay, Inc. Before attending law school, he graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign with a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology (Pre-Medicine) with Honors, after which he worked for a healthcare technology company as an implementation consultant.
Tomide was recently selected as a member of the National Black Lawyers - “Top 40 Under 40” (2024).
