HUBERTA CHOW has over ten years of experience advising the investment funds industry and was recognised as an “Associate to Watch” in Investment Fund - Chambers Asia-Pacific and nominated as a “Rising Star” in Corporate - Women in Business Law Awards APAC.
Her practice focuses on advising clients on a broad range of legal issues including the formation, structuring and restructuring of open and close-end private funds such as hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, credit funds, special situations funds, hybrid funds and fund-of-fund arrangements; the formation, structuring and restructuring of separately managed accounts; negotiating with investors in, or managers of, these funds and accounts; the establishment, structuring and restructuring of fund management operations in Hong Kong; and the handling of ongoing compliance and regulatory issues relating to these funds, accounts and operations.
The clients she works with comprise the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund managers; prominent asset managers some of whom have spun off from investment banks or financial institutions; start up managers; government authorities; individual investors; and institutional investors.
She regularly attends fund industry events and she speaks on issues relating to the fund industry.
