Sidley represented Kleiner Perkins as lead investor in the US$50 million Series C financing of PlanetScale, a cloud relational database platform, built upon Vitess, that is focused on advancing database scalability and user experience, with participation from existing investors a16z, SignalFire, and Insight Partners, as well as Tom Preston Werner (co-founder and CEO of GitHub), Jack Altman (CEO and founder of Lattice), and Max Mellen (co-founder of Instacart).
