The iconic DIVA Magazine has named Netanya Clixby as “Highly Commended” in the “Inspirational Role Model” category of the 2024 DIVA Awards. DIVA Magazine is the world’s leading magazine for LGBTQIA women and non-binary people. The DIVA Awards is a celebration of the community’s achievements across business, media, and politics.
As a senior managing associate in the Global Finance group in Sidley’s London office, Netanya has combined her professional focus on derivatives and structured finance with her commitment to advancing workplace inclusion for underrepresented social groups. Netanya is a highly visible role model for diverse individuals in the workplace, consistently promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives, while excelling professionally. Noting the lack of visible bisexual role models in law and professional services, she co-founded the London Bisexual Network in 2016, which works with employers to deliver bi-visibility training and has hosted events for multinationals, such as law firms, banks, and technology companies. Netanya served on the Law Society’s LGBTQ+ Lawyers Division Committee for five years, advocating for transgender, ethnically diverse, and bisexual representation in the profession. Presently, she serves as a trustee and Head of Income Generation for Open for Business, a global charity that uses financial market data and research to make the economic case for LGBTQ+ inclusion worldwide.
