The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) will honor Melissa Colón-Bosolet as a 2024 “Rising Star” at its 2024 Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference on September 24, 2024. The annual list spotlights stellar attorneys for their career accomplishments and dedication to the legal profession and to their communities.
Melissa represents clients in high-risk business disputes in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and internal investigations. Her extensive litigation experience spans all aspects of pleadings, discovery, evidentiary hearings, and trial. Melissa’s engagements span numerous industries and legal claims, including those involving breach of contract, business torts, and securities claims. Maintaining an active pro bono practice, Melissa is focused on the rights of New York City students and reducing violence in local prisons. She is also actively involved in several non-profit and civic leadership organizations in New York City, serving on the Board of Trustees of LatinoJustice PRLDE, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, and the New York City Bar Association, where she also co-Chairs the Council on the Profession Committee. Melissa serves as a co-chair of Sidley’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and as a member of SidleyWomen in New York, Sidley’s New York Recruiting Committee.
