Angela B. Gallagher

ANGIE GALLAGHER focuses her practice on global finance.

Before joining Sidley, Angie served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John Z. Lee of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Angie also worked at CARPLS as a Public Interest Law Initiative Fellow, where she provided advice on a wide range of legal issues to under-resourced Cook County residents. Between undergraduate and law school, Angie worked as a paralegal at a large firm in Chicago.

Angie graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she served as an associate editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and as a teaching assistant for Basics of Contract Drafting. Angie received her B.A. in political science and legal studies magna cum laude from Northwestern University.

Clients served in representative transactions include:

• Telephone and Data Systems, Inc., a telecommunications company, in its US$4.4 billion sale of U.S. Cellular Corporation’s wireless operations and select spectrum assets to T-Mobile US, Inc. The deal involved a combination of cash and up to approximately US$2 billion of assumed debt.
• Savillex Corporation, a portfolio company of private equity fund Thompson Street Capital Partners, in its strategic acquisition of ONFAB from Foresight Capital Partners.
