Sidley is representing Pilot Company in an agreement with GM to build out a national DC fast charging network that will help accelerate the widespread adoption of EVs, increase access to charging, and help enable long-distance electric travel of people and vehicles across the U.S. This network of 2,000 charging stalls, co-branded "Pilot Flying J" and "Ultium Charge 360", will be powered by EVgo eXtend and open to all EV brands at up to 500 Pilot and Flying J travel centers.
This project builds on Pilot Company's recently announced "New Horizons" initiative to invest US$1 billion to fully upgrade its travel centers with more premium amenities and offerings that aren't typically available at current EV charging locations.
The Sidley team was led by Kevin Lewis (Transportation), Jennifer Coplan (Tech Transactions), Jessica Adkins (Renewables), and Josh Sutton (Energy), and included Andy Dykstra (Tech Transactions), Colleen Brown (Data Privacy), Mario Samos, Nick Kalina, and John Dickson (all Energy), Joy Kerr and Alexander Longan (both Real Estate), and Aaron Mitchell (Tax).
