• Advised on internal investigations for a global healthcare company involving possible violations of the anti-bribery and books-and-records provisions of the FCPA and other compliance violations in China, India, Japan, Hungary, and the UAE
• Advised on internal investigations for a U.S.-listed company relating to allegations of antitrust violations in Japan and India
• Advised a leading fintech company on U.S. SEC investigations on suspected securities fraud
• Advised a major medical device company on investigations in China and Malaysia involving FCPA, competition, employment, and bidding/procurement issues
• Advising a Japan conglomerate on the development and implementation of anti-bribery policies and compliance SOPs for Asia Pacific

Employment Counselling

• Advised a U.S.-listed multinational company on employment issues including remuneration and termination issues
• Advised one of the world’s largest private equity firms on employment agreement templates

Commercial Litigation and Arbitration

• Successfully defended the Singapore subsidiary of a Thai-listed company and its former chairman in a High Court trial where the Singapore subsidiary of a Tokyo-listed company sued for more than US$230 million in damages for alleged fraudulent misrepresentations and conspiracy
• Acted for a finance company in resisting multi-jurisdictional claims in deceit, fraud, and conspiracy worth US$195 million in the Singapore Supreme Court
• Acted for a Singapore company in a dispute involving the misappropriation and conversion of the shares and assets of a British Virgin Islands company
• Successfully obtained a favorable settlement for one of the world’s largest transport companies in a SIAC arbitration in relation to its counterclaim for breach of warranty and misrepresentation under a sale and purchase agreement
