TAMIA SUTHERLAND focuses her practice on representing clients in corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, capital markets, corporate governance, and shareholder activism matters.
Prior to joining Sidley, Tamia served as a legal intern for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, where she presented at committee meetings, published a paper, researched and produced blog posts, and edited articles pertaining to alternative dispute resolution.
While attending Howard University School of Law, Tamia was an SEC Scholar at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Enforcement Division.
Tamia received her B.S., cum laude, in political science and communication studies from Northeastern University.
