MEREDITH GREENE JALALI focuses her practice on healthcare enforcement and litigation matters. Meredith has experience defending clients in matters involving alleged violations of federal and state false claims acts, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and antitrust laws, among others. She represents a broad range of clients, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, distributors, clinical diagnostic laboratories, dental manufacturers, health insurers, and private equity firms.
Meredith also maintains an active pro bono practice. In 2024, she received Sidley’s “Thomas H. Morsch Award for Pro Bono Achievement” for her work representing an incarcerated client in civil rights litigation in federal court.
Meredith earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was an articles editor for the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Competition Team. While in law school, Meredith participated in the Health and Welfare Clinic and interned for the Office of the New York State Attorney General, Health Care Bureau. Meredith received her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Northwestern University, where she majored in Social Policy and minored in Global Health Studies.
Prior to joining Sidley, Meredith was a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Illinois.
