Biography

ALYSSA HASBROUCK represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including contract litigation, real estate litigation, and business torts. Alyssa has also represented clients in domestic and international arbitrations and in contested bankruptcy proceedings.

Alyssa rejoined Sidley after serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Alyssa graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School and served as a notes editor for the Cornell Law Review. Alyssa’s student note, “Rethinking ‘Just’ Compensation: Dignity Restoration as a Basis for Supplementing Existing Takings Remedies with Government-Supported Community Building Initiatives,” was published in volume 104. Alyssa was also a quarterfinalist in the National Moot Court Competition, where she received the “Justice Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Medal for Excellence in Advocacy.” Alyssa served as an executive bench editor for the Cornell Moot Court Board and was the co-president of Cornell’s Lambda Law Association. Alyssa received a B.A. from Yale University.
