AMIR FREUND is a counsel in Sidley’s Palo Alto office and a member of the IP Litigation practice. Amir’s practice focuses on patent infringement and trade secret litigation involving high-tech hardware and software technology, such as computer networking, telecommunications devices, semiconductors, integrated circuit design, memory circuits, fabrication processes, e-commerce, and digital radio devices. Amir is experienced in litigating cases in district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), as well as Inter Partes Review (IPR) proceedings before the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Amir also advises clients on IP related issues including patent portfolio management, portfolio analysis for purposes of licensing and litigation, and litigation counseling in connection with corporate transactions.
Amir is also active in pro-bono matters related to immigration, foster youth, and identity theft.
Amir earned his LL.M. in Law, Science, and Technology from Stanford Law School in 2012, and received his LL.B from Haifa University, Israel, in 2007.
