MAX BUDOWSKY focuses his practice on representing public and private companies, investors, and state and local governments in connection with a wide range of transactional matters with a focus on sports, entertainment, and media. This includes representing clients in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and sports-anchored public-private partnerships and related ancillary development, construction and financing.
Outside the firm, Max serves on the Young Alumni Board of the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law LL.M program at the University of Miami School of Law, and is a teacher’s assistant for the program’s capstone course in Sports Law: Purchase and Sale of a Minor League Baseball Team.
Max graduated, cum laude, from the University of Florida before earning his J.D., magna cum laude, and LL.M. in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law from the University of Miami School of Law. At Miami Law, he served as a staff editor on the University of Miami Law Review, a research assistant for a Professor of International Tax, and as an intern for the University of Miami School of Law Investor Rights Clinic.
While in school, Max served as a legal extern for Sony Music Entertainment and as a pro bono intern for LegalARTLink.
