AIDEEN BRENNAN provides counsel for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and early- and late-stage minority investments. She regularly advises clients investing in the technology, media and telecommunications, and life sciences sectors, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), supercomputing, and digital infrastructure.
Prior to joining Sidley, Aideen was a tax associate at a leading Canadian law firm, in Vancouver and in Montreal.
Aideen earned her J.D. and B.C.L. from McGill University in Montreal, where she was a co-founder and the managing editor of the McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution. Prior to entering private practice, Aideen gained experience working for a large Canadian railway company and a multinational Swiss pharmaceutical company.
Aideen is fluent in French.
