JIM ALBRECHT focuses his practice on secured lending, acquisition financing, and other leveraged finance transactions where he represents banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and other financial institutions, as well as public and private companies in a variety of complex financing transactions and at all levels of the capital structure. Prior to joining Sidley, Jim was a corporate finance associate at another leading global law firm, primarily representing leading investment banks, commercial banks, and corporations in connection with public and private capital markets transactions, bank financings, syndicated institutional loans, asset backed loans, and other financing transactions.
Jim earned his J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to law school, Jim graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Government and International Relations. There he was recognized on the dean’s list and received the NESCAC’s “All-Academic” and “All-Sportsmanship” awards, as a captain of the varsity ice hockey team.
