Sidley represented Anchorage Digital, the first digital asset bank regulated by the Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), in connection with the launch of an industry-first custody exchange network for institutions — including registered investment advisers. Announced on June 9, 2022, Sidley represented Anchorage in connection with the commercial arrangement for this trailblazing network, which has signed on crypto exchange company Binance.US, as well as having announced commitments from CoinList, Blockchain.com, Strix Leviathan, and Wintermute.
The Sidley team was led by Lilya Tessler, head of the FinTech and Blockchain group, supported by associates Austin L. Stanton and Conner J. Brown, with the participation of partners Jay G. Baris and Laurin Blumenthal Kleiman.
