Sidley represented Fortitude Re, Bermuda’s largest multi-line reinsurer, in its acquisition of Plans’ Liability Insurance Company, a widely-licensed Ohio-domiciled property and casualty insurer. The acquisition enhances Fortitude Re’s transactional flexibility and structural solutions in the property and casualty legacy insurance liabilities space.
The Sidley team was led by Jon Kelly (Insurance), and included Anise Molina, Stephanie Dobecki, and Daniel Sondike (all Insurance), and Peter Edgerton and Andrei Pinchuk (both Tax).
