| Project Description | GreenBell is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) firm founded in 2006 by a woman and remains majorly women managed and owned. Greenbell provides application development and digital marketing services, especially in supporting women owned businesses and their growth using technology (which it still a struggle in Africa). They have recently developed SHETRADES platform for the International Trade Center (ITC) – which is a platform to get 1 million women business owners online by 2020. They support women owned businesses in daily use of technology which has a huge impact for business growth. Greenbell works with universities to empower youth by offering career talks and mentorship. | Scope of Legal Assistance | Sidley is assisting with reviewing investment and shareholders agreements, including employee ownership plans, as well as advising on possible legal means to navigate trade barriers for services in regional and international markets, on compliance regulatory requirements for exporting ICT services, and reviewing/drafting contracts between Greenbell and clients. |
