On November 3, 2020, California voters approved the California Privacy Rights Act, which amends the CCPA. The CPRA makes significant changes to CCPA and requires the creation a new California agency, the California Privacy Protection Agency, to enforce the law. Most provisions of the law will go into effect on January 1, 2023, pursuant to regulations drafted by the new agency. It also extends until December 31, 2022 the effective dates of the employee and business-to-business exemptions that were set to expire on December 31, 2020. When the official version is published, we will update the full text of the CCPA.
