SOPHIA WALLACH focuses her practice on environmental litigation and regulatory compliance matters, advising clients across a broad range of sectors including transportation, energy, finance, manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce. She is skilled at helping clients successfully navigate their most complex state, federal, and cross-border environmental disputes. She also counsels clients on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and is well-versed in California’s ever-evolving climate disclosure rules.
Sophia was a summer scholar at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the Telecommunications Enforcement Bureau, and prior to law school worked for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as an honors paralegal in the Bureau of Competition. During law school, Sophia was a senior articles editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. Sophia was a Henry Luce Scholar at the Singapore International Mediation Institute.
Sophia also maintains an active pro bono practice, and has defended veterans in tenants’ rights disputes and advocated for performing arts non-profits.
