KALEN SULLIVAN focuses his practice on patent litigation and enjoys engaging his background in biology and chemistry.
Kalen earned his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law. While in law school, he served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and as an executive editor of the Syracuse Law Review. Kalen received his B.S. in biochemistry from Iona University, where he worked as a research assistant in the micro-analytical chemistry lab.
Prior to joining Sidley, Kalen served as a student law clerk for The Honorable Brenda K. Sannes, Chief United States District Judge for the Northern District of New York. He also worked at two publicly traded biotechnology companies as a legal intern and as a research and development associate.
