EDWARD SHARON, counsel in Sidley’s office in Washington, D.C., focuses his practice on antitrust and competition matters, including merger clearance, civil litigation, and criminal investigations. He has extensive experience with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act (HSR Act) pre-merger compliance, advising clients on reportability under the HSR Act and identifying filing obligations in foreign jurisdictions worldwide. Edward also counsels clients on Second Request responses and has helped secure numerous merger clearances from the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Edward’s clients include buyers, shareholders, and sellers in strategic acquisitions of all types, including venture capital, IP licensing, public and private takeovers, and joint venture formations.
